Diwrnod Fy Myd
23/05/19
Heddiw cawsom ddiwrnod lles hyfryd arall, gyda ffocws ar ddatganiadau Hawliau Plant Cymru. Bu'r plant yn cymryd rhan mewn tri gweithgaredd gyda ffocws arnynt hwy fel plentyn yn y byd maent yn byw ynddi - Diwrnod Fy Myd'
Gan ei bod hefyd yn Ddiwrnod Dosbarth Tu Allan, un o'r tasgau oedd creu'ffon natur' gan ddefnyddio adnoddau naturiol cyn dysgu am Erthygl 6: 'Yr hawl i fywyd ac i dyfu i fod yn iach.'
Cafwyd tasg TGCh yn edrych ar Erthygl 17: 'Yr hawl i wybodaeth onest yr ydych yn ei ddeall gan bapurau newydd a’r teledu.' tu fewn a thu allan i'r dosbarth, lle ddysgodd plant am bwysigrwydd cadw'n saff ar y rhyngrwyd a gwiro ffynonellau gwybodaeth. Cawsant eu synnu i ddarganfod nad yw octopysau coed yn o iawn!
Roedd y dasg olaf yn ffocysu ar Erthygl 37: 'Hawl y plentyn i gael ei drin yn dda'. Bu'r plant yn cyd-weithio i greu senario's gwahanol yn edrych ar y gwahaniaeth rhwng bod yn gas, yn anghwrtais a bwlio. Bu'r cyngor Kiva a'r athrawes yn cynnig syniadau ar sut i ddelio gyda'r sefyllfaoedd hyn.
Hefyd, cawsom Clwb Garddio (sydd wastad yn cael ei gynnal ar Ddydd Iau). Diolch i Becca, Heather ac Alison am eu hamser a'u hymdrechion unwaith eto - Erthygl 15: 'Yr hawl i gyfarfod â ffrindiau ac ymuno â grwpiau a chlybiau.'
Yn goron i'r diwrnod bendigedig, cawsom ein trydydd sesiwn Ioga, tu allan, gyda Kirsty. Bu'r plant yn parhau i ddysgu am strategaethau a dulliau gwahanol i helpu nhw ymlacio'r meddwl a chorff - Erthygl 31: 'Yr hawl i ymlacio a chwarae'
Another wonderful well being day today, focusing on Children’s Rights Wales statements. All pupils took part in three tasks that focused on them as a child and the world they live in – My World Day!
As it was also Outdoor Classroom day, one task was to create a ‘nature stick’ using natural resources before learning about Article 6: ‘The right to life and to grow up to be healthy’, learning about how to keep a healthy mind.
An ICT task focused on Article 17: ‘The right to honest information from newspapers and television that you can understand’ was enjoyed both in and outside as pupils learned about the importance of staying safe on the internet and checking sources of information. They were surprised to find out that tree octopuses aren’t real!
The final task focused on Article 37: 'The right to be treated fairly.' The children worked together to create different scenario's focusing on the difference between being mean, rude and bullying. The Kiva council and the teacher gave suggestions on how to deal with these situations.
Gardening club also took place today (as it does every Thursday. Thank you to Becca, Heather and Alison for their time and effort once again - Article 15: 'The right to meet with friends and join groups and clubs'.
To round off a lovely day, we had our third yoga session outdoors with Kirsty in the afternoon. The pupils continued to learn about the different strategies and methods which can help relax the mind and body - Article 31: 'The right to relax and play'
